Who are we?

Outset Wellness helps people with ADHD rebuild a working relationship with exercise - one that starts with the body, not with goals or plans.

We know how often advice about exercise ignores what it actually feels like to live in a body that won’t cooperate. The fitness world is full of quick fixes, rigid routines, and talk of discipline - but none of that matters when you can’t even start. For many of us, the problem isn’t motivation or willpower; it’s that the internal signals we’re supposed to act on are unreliable. We misread what we need, don’t trust our timing, and end up stuck between intention and action.

That’s the gap we’re trying to close.

Outset is built on research into interoception, sensory integration, and behavioural neuroscience. Our core idea - the Embodied Activation Loop - explains how internal signals guide action when the system is working, and how that loop breaks down in ADHD. What we’re building isn’t another productivity tool or workout tracker; it’s a way to restore agency in a body that’s learned not to trust itself.

What do we do?

Outset is a tool to help you reconnect with your body’s signals and make movement easier to start and easier to repeat. The app syncs with your calendar, adapts to the weather, and helps you find natural moments for activity by gently reinforcing the cues your body is already trying to send. It works with your existing rhythms and systems instead of demanding a new routine.

We also offer gentle nudges, a visual plant that grows each time you follow through – a playful but powerful way to track progress that actually feels good. Our social features let you match with friends for shared activity windows, send each other encouragement, and feel less alone in the process. For many with ADHD, these small, visible rewards and moments of connection aren’t just nice-to-haves – they’re the missing pieces that make it all click.

Everything we do is designed to rebuild the loop between sensing, acting, and trusting yourself again.
